At March 14, 2008 - This morning we are extra delighted to welcome the representatives from Hong Leong Islamic Bank. They come to KPIJ Marsah to have a special program with Department of Muamalat -- "Celik Muamalat". The program started with the sharing from Ustaz Muhaimin and Ustaz Akmal Solihi on the comparative arena between Islamic banking and conventional banking. They also shares the Shariah governance stipulated by Bank Negara Malaysia and governance in Hong Leong Islamic Bank. The sharing invites drilling Q&A session on the TVM concept in Islamic finance, the mixed-activities in investment and the critics on BBA. The students were satistifed with the explanations from the experts.
In the break, between the special sharing and the forum, students are participating the Islamic finance game-based quiz, which we can see they enjoyed the most. The winners were given token by Hong Leong Islamic Bank.
The forum started with Ustaz Hafiz the Head of Department DOM as moderator on the topics of "Employability of IBF graduates and the financial management". Among the issues touched in the forum are the preparations for the interview, employability among graduates of IBF, challenges in the industry, Value-Based Intermediation (VBI), catching up with IR 4.0 like Fintech and so many more.
The forum is short but fruitful and compact. The students were also given special souvenirs from Hong Leong Islamic Bank.
