AL FURSAN 2018


On Nov 4-5, 2018, Department of Muamalat represented by Mdm Norafni @ Farlina had participated as paper presenter in Prophetic Science International Conference 2018 (AL FURSAN 2018). The conference was held at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, organized by Islamic Science Institute (ISI) Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia under research grant "Prophetic Food Niche Research Group". The conference took place at Main Lecture Hall Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies, with main theme "Legacy the Future Gateway".

Al-FURSAN is an international conference discussing on methods in developing physical and mental preservation through healthy nutritional diet. The conference sought to bring scholars from all over the world to discuss issues closely related to the tradition, especially regarding the healthy way of life which can be used as the best model in leading a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

This conference aim to gather  thoughtful research ideas and valuable findings that can be generated and discussed in order to discover the strength of the tradition which could prove to be relevant to the needs of the people who want to live in a healthy lifestyle.

The paper submitted by Mdm Norafni is under title "Prophetic Food-Based Cosmetics: A Segment of Halal Beauty Market", a research paper on the trends of prophetic food as the main ingredients in cosmetics and skin care range. This industry is booming and sought after by Muslim women as it is not only certified Halal and ethics-compliant but the research has found that the prophetic food is not only good for health but also beneficial for outer care, i.e. cosmetics and skin care.
