On Oct 10-11, Mdm Norafni @ Farlina Rahim had participated in the 2nd International Conference on Zakat, Waqf and Islamic Philanthrophy (ZAWFI 2018) at Grand Blue Wave Hotel, Shah Alam.
The conference is organized by Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS) of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam and Lembaga Zakat Selangor. The conference gathered academician, practitioners in zakat and waqf industry, researcher and participants with theme "Empowering the Contemporary Potential of Zakat and Islamic Philanthropy"
The Keynote speech was delivered by Prof Dato' Dr Aziuddin Ahmad, the Deputy Chairman of Lembaga Zakat Selangor (MAIS) with title "Zakat: Experiencing the Faith or Accounting the Economics?"
The first parallel session was held on first day of the conference and Mdm Norafni had presented a paper, co-authoring with Mdm Siti Aishah Kasmon and Mdm Khairun Nisaq Taslim under title "Islamic Philanthropy and Micro-Crowdfunding Fintech. The paper extending the research in micro-crowdfunding in the sense of Islamic philanthropy.
On second day, Muzakarah Zakat Kebangsaan was held at the same venue with three presentations by the prominent scholars.
